2. Strength Training

Strength training with weights or resistance bands will help to build muscle and as a bonus, it will boost your metabolism which will burn even more calories including after a workout. This is why strength training is so important when you are trying to get rid of belly fat.

Other benefits of strength training include being able to improve your balance, being able to sleep better as well as minimizing all that cottage cheese and dimples on your thighs, hips and buttocks. It will also increase your stamina and will reduce your overall risk of developing conditions such as type 2 diabetes.

Women do need to be frightened of bulking up by using weights as women do not have the hormones that will allow you to bulk up. Strength training creates a leaner and stronger body in the shortest time possible.

3. Core Exercises

After all the cardio and strength training, you then need to perform core exercises to shape a defined belly. Workouts are also pointless unless you are also strengthening the core and the abdominal muscles are an important aspect of the core muscle group that supports the body.
